Gareth and Lynette


Tennyson was based on the fourth book of "Le morte d'Arthur" to write this story, which is believed to have been invited by Malory.
Neither version of the story before Malory, is possible that Malory had invited this story.


Gareth, the youngest son of King Lot and Bellicent (Morgause) dreams of becoming a knight, but he is frustrated for his mother. After a long discussion, Bellicent orders serve as a kitchen in the castle of his uncle without saying his name during one year and six months.

When he arrived in disguise to Camelot, Gareth is received by the magician Merlin, who is disguised.
Arthur allow the request of the boy to be part of the kitchen service. After the working hard during a month, the prince regrest and Bellicent frees him from his vow.

Gareth is secretly appointed knight by Arthur, who gives orders to Sir Lanzarote of watch him.
The first mission of Gareth in which a lady named Lynette asks for help to Arthur and LAnzarote, to intervene in the realase of her sister Lyonors.
The mission isn't assigned to Lanzarote, the mission assigned to Gareth, who is apparently a member of the kitchen.

Indignant, she flees, and when he scolds Gareth catches up.
In his journey proves itself again and again, but she still despise.

Gareth always is courteous and friendly at all. In the dangerous castle where is Lynette's sister, the young prince overthrow the knight of the Morning Star, the Knight of the midda Sun, the knight of the Evening Star and, finally, the most terrible knight, the knight of Death, which is actually a child forced to play that role by his older brothers.



In the story of Malory, Gareth marries Lyonors, but in this version, Lynette marries with the nephew of Arthur.

The Coming of Arthur


                                                    

 

The first of the work , it appears the Lady of the Lake , who she kidnaps to prince Lanzarote when he is a child for to raise in his kingdom fantastic that it has been low the Lake . The first of the Idylls covers the period later the coronation of king Arturo , his ascension and his marriage . The king of Camiliard , Leodegranze , makes appeal to Arturo for help to fight the Saxon hordes.
 
    
Arturo defeats these and then to the noble who question their legitimacy . The asks the king of Camiliard his daughter´s hand Geneva he loves . 
 
Leodregranze is grateful , but the seed of daubt Arturo and ask question  of  the young King´s chamberlain their emissaries and the stepsister of his mother´s side Arturo by name Bellicent ( the character know as Anne or Morgause in other version ) receiving a version a different of each . He is convinced that Arturo is noble and accepts the proposal. Lanzarote is envied attract Geneva and she and Arturo marry in May . The life of Tennyson

Alfred Lord Tennyson was born in Somersby on 6 august of 1809 and he died on 6 october of 1892 in Surrey , England . 
Tennyson is one of the english poets more illustrious of the Universal Literature . Is belonging to the
post-Romanticism.





His parents were George Tennyson and Elisabeth Fytche .
Tennyson was descentdant the king Eduardo III of England . Tennyson and two of his brothers , Frederick Tennyson and Charles Tennyson started to write poetry  in his  teens. They published of local level a joint collection when Alfred had 17 years .                                                      



The formation of Alfred,was impart of his father. He started to write with sixteen years and in 1827 he published a volume of poetry with his brother Charles, "Poems by two brothers".
He came to The Grammar School "King Edward" and in 1828. He entered in the Trinity College in Cambridge, where he won the gold medal of the prize "Chancellor". He was part of the Cambridge Apostles.
In 1830, Tennyson published Poems, chiefly lyrical.

     
After the death of a friend , Alfred wasn´t publish during ten years not a single verse . This silence would be according to some the result of the shock by the loss his best friend , according to others was due to discouragement before  the bad reception that had his two volume of poetry , it published that same year , and that it included " La dama de sholat " one of his more famous poetry .
In 1835 , he fell in love profoundly of Rosa Baring , a lady of great beauty and fortune , whose defeat he inspired him some of his poetry more hurt and he reminded him of his precarious social  position .


In 1836he knew to Emily Sellwood with who he married in 1850, three years after of the publication of "The Princess". In 1852 the couple had his first children, for then the fame to Tennyson was already solidly establish, and in 1854 they having to move to the island of Wight to escape of the fan.


The Queen  Victoria was an admirer the work to Tennyson appointing hin Baron in 1884.

SOMERSBY

Somersby is a village in the parish of Greetham with Somersby in the Lincolnshire Wolds.

Somersby is located in the Lilconshire Wolds, it is an area with Greater Natural Beauty, running from Caistor in the north to Spilsby in the south.

Stony area of Somersby show perfectly the softness of this stone and her colour is khaki-green.
The stone was used for to repair the Somersby Church.
